COMMON SCAM CHECKS

Check the message before you click, reply, or pay.

Scam Teller can review many of the suspicious messages people receive every day. Upload the whole message when you can, including the visible sender and any link.

Questions about the free checker

What can I upload?

Upload a clear JPG, PNG, WebP, or GIF screenshot or photo up to 4 MB. Include the sender and full message when possible.

Can Scam Teller guarantee that something is safe?

No. Scam Teller provides guidance based on what you submit. Cropped or missing information can limit the answer, and no automated tool catches every scam.

Can I check a link without opening it?

Yes. Paste the link into the checker without visiting it. Scam Teller can review the visible address and the surrounding message, but it will not claim to verify information that is missing or hidden.

What if I already clicked, paid, or shared information?

Say what happened in the context box or a follow-up. Scam Teller will focus on practical damage-control steps. For money or account access, contact the bank or company using a phone number you independently know is genuine.

What happens to my submission?

We securely store checks for service quality and abuse prevention. Raw submissions are scheduled for deletion after 30 days. You control whether a redacted version may help improve Scam Teller.
